U.S. Road Accidents rise by 9% in first half of 2012

According to Automotive News Report, U.S traffic fatalities have increased by 9% during the first six months of this year compared to last year 2011. A complete of 16,290 people have died in road accidents between January and June, and while the numbers have yet to be confirmed, they may signify the most fatalities during the first six month of this year since 2009



This information comes courtesy of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which has not launched a speculation on the aspects behind the increase. Automobile News indicates other safety categories believe the jump could be attributable to culprits as wide ranging as weather. A raise in the reputation of artificial drugs and text messaging while driving could also be blame.
