Toyota Tundra pulls Space Shuttle Endeavor: Amazing video

There are advertising tricks, and then there's using a Toyota Tundra to tow the 145-ton Space Shuttle Endeavour across interstate 405 in Los Angeles. That's exactly what occurred Saturday evening when Toyota given a hand pulling the retired spacecraft over a bridge en path to the California Science Center. As it was, the Manchester Boulevard Bridge couldn't withstand the weight of both the shuttle and the conventional tow automobile, which sent coordinators looking for something a little less heavy to protect the five-minute generate across the bridge. As a 20-year sponsor of the science center, Toyota walked in to help out.

The company designed a unique tow dolly with Sarens Team, an technological innovation and heavy-lifting firm, just for the attempt. A bone-stock 2012 Chevy Tundra CrewMax 4x4 did the action, though something informs us this little stop significantly surpassed the unit's tow ranking.
